Please join me in congratulating the following EOF scholars, graduates, and staff from the: liberal arts colleges, Douglass Residential College (DRC), Mason Gross School of the Arts (MGSA), School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), Rutgers Business School (RBS), the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR), and Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy (EJBSPPP), on their special accomplishments inside and outside of the classroom.

184 SAS EOF Scholars were honored at the 2026 Office of the Secretary of Higher Education in New Jersey Graduate Award Ceremony. 82 were honored for earning cumulative grade point averages of 3.2-3.49, 99 were honored for earning cumulative grade point averages above a 3.5, and 3 were honored as Distinguished Scholars for having a 4.0 grade point average, and one student was honored for Outstanding Achievement (selected by the SAS EOF Program).

436 SAS EOF Scholars (39.2%) made the Spring 2026 Dean’s List.

Danielle Bechta, MS, SAS ’11 is serving as the President of the Sigma Kappa Foundation for the next two years. Ms. Bechta is the Director of Development at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons.

Diana Hadad, MS, SAS ’22, SGS ’24 is in her second year of medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). She is the President of Pulmonology/Critical Care, student ambassador, and Programming Coordinator for the National Pre-SOMA (Student Osteopathic Medical Association) Committee, the national student organization for osteopathic medical students. 

Hoda Hassanein, MS, SAS ’09, SHP ’17 is a Clinical Trial Manager at Bristol Myers Squibb.

Vivek Patel interned with Northwestern Mutual and with Project Destined-Real Estate Private Equity Program, where he earned a 3rd-place finish in the final global case competition. He is currently interning with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, in their Revenue & Rates department. Vivek is an active member of the Rutgers Personal Finance Club (RPFC), Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), and Ascend-Pan Asian Leaders. He also works part-time job at a hotel, taking on the role of Associate Manager during busy periods.

Michael Thomas-Kuchie serves on the Scarlet Honor Council. This past summer he was a Supervisor with Conference Services. This year he is a 2nd-year Resident Assistant in the Honors College Residence Hall. Michael is also an e-board member of the Rutgers Running Club.
